The tower is one of the most distinctive architectural features of the Kirk and an important part of the building’s historic character. Therefore the proposed works include the installation of a fire suppression system within the tower to improve fire safety and reduce the risk of damage to the historic fabric. These measures will provide additional protection for both the building and its users.
